Pastor Dan

Pastor Dan was voted in at Divine Hope Church on August 21, 2017. Dan, originally from Williamsport, MD, was saved at just five years of age and heard the call of God to preach when he was a young teen. He followed that calling when he enrolled in Zion Bible Institute in Ea. Providence, Rhode Island. There he met his wife, Julie, a girl from Maine who also was called into ministry and is now the Worship Director at Divine Hope. Together they completed their schooling at Faith School of Theology in Maine where they travelled with the President of the College singing and ministering. The churches they have pastored through the years range from Maine to Florida, experiencing the favor of God as they lived in His purpose for their lives. They have two married sons, who are also in ministry and are raising their families to follow God’s calling on their lives as well.

In 2005, Dan & Julie became part of a thriving ministry in Va. Beach called Wave Church. This ministry had become a movement of church plants that were reaching a generation seeking a new move of God that is fresh and compelling. Both Pastor Dan and Julie became ordained in the Wave Network and later became church plant pastors of DestinyLIFE Church in Oakland, July of 2012, with a dedicated core group of people. After five years of praying and seeking divine direction for their church, they were approached by members of Divine Hope Church to possibly merge the two churches and become the pastors. After much prayer and deliberation, DestinyLIFE Church became one with Divine Hope Church.

Pastor Dan & Julie’s highest calling is to empower people to find God’s purpose, practice the principles in God’s Word, live a life of influence, and to grow the Kingdom of God from the youngest to the oldest! They have lived a life of faith, seeking after God, and endeavor to be obedient to His calling.
